Zosia and I
next drove downtown to wander through the ever popular Pike Place Market
and grab something for lunch. This was followed by a walk along the
pier to Olympic Sculpture Park and then back again to Pike Place Market.
We then drove back to our hotel in Kirkland to relax and freshen up a bit
before heading to my brother's place for dinner to round out the day. Photo

Zosia begins the day with a hearty
breakfast at her hotel in Kirkland.

Sonny appears to have made a long putt at Howling Coyote Disc Golf Course
(Blyth Park) in Bothell.

Zosia stands under a cherry blossom
tree in Seattle's Lake View Cemetery.

Lake View Cemetery is the final
resting place of the legendary
Bruce Lee and his son,
Brandon.

This is one of many squirrels that can
be found in Volunteer Park which is just south of and adjacent to
Lake View Cemetery.

Zosia is seemingly overwhelmed by pink
azalea flowers.

Zosia and an unknown dog stand beside
"Black Sun", a sculpture by Isamu Noguchi made of Brazilian black
granite.

Sonny climbs up the inside of an old
water tower located at the south end of Volunteer Park.

Here is a view of the water tower from
the outside.

Friendly mallards are also abundant in
Volunteer Park.

Zosia's jacket matches the colour of
the Japanese camellia flowers surrounding her.

At Pike Place Market in downtown
Seattle, Zosia is amused by the shrimp sign.

Sonny prepares to eat some clam
chowder for lunch.

Zosia shows off her
smoked salmon pastry from Piroshky Piroshky. On the table is
another pastry but filled with ground beef.

At Olympic Sculpture Park, Zosia sits
beside "Father and Son", a sculpture created by
Louise Bourgeois.

"Echo" was created by Catalan
sculptor, Jaume Plensa.

Back at Pike Place Market, Zosia
listens to what Zoltar has to say about her future.

"Rachel" is Pike Place Market's
resident piggy bank which collects donations for local social
services. Designed by Georgia Gerber, the bronze pig was
modeled after a real prize-winning pig named "Rachel" that lived on
Whidbey Island. A 2018
article estimated that Rachel annually collects roughly $20,000 USD!

William Bou and Sonny show off matching
Seattle Seahawks jackets which were gifts from William's wife,
Lynette.
