On 30 December 2017, Zosia Zgolak and I traveled to Pabianice, Poland to spend the New Year's Eve weekend with Danusia Jacoń-Chmielecka and her son, Jasiu. Upon arriving at Danusia's home, Zosia and I participated in a fun pottery workshop run by Danusia. We later went for an evening walk in town with Danusia's dogs, Funio and Scooby, to round out a very relaxing day.

	Jasiu and Danusia enjoy some fabulous desserts at a local restaurant.

Gosia Zakrzewska and Ola Przybył joined us on the morning of 31 December 2017, and after a hearty brunch, we all took Danusia's dogs out for another walk in the midday sun. After the nice walk, we went for a quick visit with Danusia's mother before shopping for groceries and returning to Danusia's home to prepare for the evening's festivities. More guests arrived late in the afternoon and into the early evening, and from there, it was basically non-stop partying for the rest of the night. Just before midnight, the entire party went outdoors, and we lit sparklers and drank champagne to ring in the New Year. Fireworks erupted in the surrounding areas of Pabianice and continued for well over half an hour. Meanwhile, the party resumed back inside Danusia's house late into the night.

The next morning, Zosia and I bid farewell to Danusia and Jasiu before departing for Łódź with Gosia. A very big thank you goes out to Danusia for her wonderful hospitality throughout the weekend. Dziękuję bardzo!
