BOU AVENUE
Wilderness Club Disc Golf Course

Before driving home after our hike up Ant Hill on 9 October 2023, Zosia Zgolak and I stopped at the Wilderness Club northwest of Eureka, Montana to play a round of disc golf.  Built in 2019, this championship-level disc golf course complements the nearby traditional golf resort and is highly rated according to UDisc (disc golf application).  There is supposedly a $5 USD per person fee, but no one was at the gatehouse to collect money on this day.  All holes have proper tee pads and baskets, and signage is generally good.  Even playing the shorter beginner's layout, we found the course to be quite challenging.  The front 9 holes are mostly in the open making them more forgiving of errant shots.  The back 9 holes are located on a forested hillside which demand greater precision and is also rather strenuous to walk.  Although we both had tough rounds, we still enjoyed playing the course which was not busy (we were the only ones playing).  I hope to give the course another shot whenever we come through this way again.
Nice concrete tee pads too! The disc golf course designer apparently found a novel way to re-use old golf bags.
And I made it! Sonny tries to make his par putt on Hole #2.
Every once in awhile, even the blind squirrel finds a nut! Sonny holds up his Innova Shark after making an improbable birdie on Hole #7.
I feel like this thing could fly!

Zosia takes a break on an elaborate bench near the Hole #9 tee box.

Second-longest hole...we both double-bogeyed it! Zosia tees off on Hole #9.
Or maybe it's a triple-mando... Hole #10 has a double-mando (wooden arrows on both trees) and possibly a hunting perch.
Doh! Sonny would miss this easy toss into the elevated basket of Hole #11 and end up with a double-bogey.
Bogey for me, triple-bogey for Zosia! Zosia finishes up on Hole #14 which is very difficult because of the basket location on a rolling hillside.
This course tired me out! Sonny has a cat nap on a bench near the tee pad for Hole #18.
