BOU AVENUE
Nihahi Ridge South Summit
After an exhausting scramble up Pilot Mountain the previous day, I managed to drag my body out for another hike on 10 August 2002.  Ken Laing, Stephanie Stotz-Laing, Kelly Wood and I hiked up Nihahi Ridge near the Little Elbow Campground in Kananaskis Country.  On several previous occasions, I had only ever hiked up to the first broad saddle.  While Ken, Stephanie and Kelly were content to stop for lunch after the first rock step past the saddle, I continued on to the south summit to have a look at the rest of the ridge stretching away to the north.  I hope to return at some future date to traverse the entire ridge (that would come to fruition in 2004).
The trail begins to steepen.
Ken, Kelly and Stephanie hike toward the first rock step.
The traverse will entail a lot of ups and downs.
Sonny looks northward from the south summit.
